NEON National Plan to Increase Competitive Integrated Employment (CIE) Webinar

***Register for the Webinar Here*** Speaker Bios David Mank David Michael Mank, Ph.D., is professor emeritus at Indiana University. As a writer and researcher, Mank has an extensive background in education and employment for persons with disabilities. He has authored or coauthored dozens of articles and book chapters. His interests also include transition from school-to-work and community living. Mank is a member of the editorial boards of Research and Practice for Persons with Severe Disabilities (TASH), the Journal of Vocational Rehabilitation and the Journal of Disability Policy Studies. He is past president of the Association of University Centers on Disabilities. He was a founding board member of the Association of People Supporting Employment First (APSE). Mank served as chair of the Advisory Committee on Increasing Competitive Integrated Employment for Individuals with Disabilities, which was created in the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act. Richard Luecking Richard Luecking, Ed.D., is a Research Professor and the Co-Director of the Center for Transition and Career Innovation for Youth with Disabilities at the University of Maryland. Prior to this recent appointment, he served for 28 years as President of TransCen Inc. which is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving employment success of people with disabilities. Luecking has led or been involved in the implementation of numerous projects related to school-to-work transition and CIE of individuals with disabilities. Luecking’s professional history also includes serving as a state vocational rehabilitation counselor and the director of non-profit CIE service programs in both Maryland and California. He also served as a Policy Advisor to the U.S. Department of Labor, ODEP, where he helped establish its national Employment First initiative. Luecking’s experience at the practitioner level and his involvement in state and national policy initiatives gives him a unique perspective from which to assist federal, state and local entities pursue initiatives intended to increase transition and employment outcomes for individuals with disabilities.
