Services are individualized to meet participant’s interests and needs.

Transition Services offer high school students Community-Based Work Assessments, Career Exploration, Job Shadowing and informational visits to local businesses.

Individual/group classes under our Training & Transition program teach Independent Living & Work Readiness Skills that incorporate instruction with community experiences.

Practical Assessment Exploration System (PAES) provides simulated hands-on work skills samples in over 300 jobs in five career areas.

Employment Services incorporate Career Assessment, Job Find and Job Supports to help individuals explore, prepare for and maintain Competitive Employment.

Other available programs include Recreation Programs, Community Participation Supports, Early intervention and Support Services.

How We Can Help:

Self-Advocacy Instruction helps students with disabilities build skills to solve problems and communicate their own needs and interests.

Job Exploration helps students with disabilities learn about jobs and pick a career.

Workplace Readiness Training teaches students with disabilities how to get and keep a job.

Work Based Learning uses community workplaces to provide students with disabilities the knowledge and skills that will help them connect school experiences to real-life work activities and future career opportunities.

Counseling on Postsecondary Options helps students with disabilities decide if college or training after high school is right for them.
-
IEP Meeting Attendance and Consultation provides the IEP team with information about OVR services to determine the appropriate time to refer the student to an OVR Counselor for individualized case services, along with information about community resources that can assist in coordinating Transition Services.

We specialize in connecting our self-advocates with opportunities to be family-focused, self-determined, individualized, person-centered, and strength-based.

We optimize opportunities for community inclusion, growth, independence, and job readiness in all of our programs and services.

We offer Supported Employment Services (Career Assessment, Job Finding and Development, and Job Support) as well as Benefits Counseling.

We have three community day programs located in Bellefonte, Mount Union, and Hollidaysburg. We provide opportunities for long-term support from caring families within our lifesharing, respite, and residential programs.

Square One Clubhouse is a vocational and psychiatric rehabilitation program for adults with mental illness.
